Absolute show stopper. Late 1940s, early 1950s (no label) beautiful maxi gown. The watercolour floral pattern is reminiscent of a Monet painting, with the capped sleeves, high sweetheart neckline and covered buttons an elegant nod to its era. There is a gorgeous ruffled, hi-low tier part of the A line skirt towards the back, which gives that volume and drama. The long row of covered buttons and their loop fastenings, to just below the waistline is super flattering. So many good things about this frock, all balanced out beautifully.
All measurements (apart from Shoulder to Hem) are taken with garment laid flat, unstretched and then doubled.
